ace people could choose to not flaunt how easy it is to be ace (as proof by the fact that the only people pushing back against ace awareness week are lgbt people) while trans people are suicidal over the impending loss of their rights. it doesn’t matter if it’s preppanned, you could have decency and move the date for just this year

you dont have to tell me how trans people are reacting to this buddy, also unlike many of these assholes i was a direct target of the trump administration from day 1 because of my family’s legality in the USA as brown immigrants fresh from undergrad/doctorate school

and youve got a lot of nerve telling me how ‘easy it is to be ace’ because oh my god its not, and no your dashboard isn’t political proof of anything you dumbass

at this point, us ‘moving’ ace awareness week to another date is a lost oppportunity for you fucks to learn an important lesson in decency and morality and how a community actually works

just say you hate gay people and want them to get std’s and go home

i have to sit here and watch aphobes tell me that its preferable for aces to force themselves through the trauma i had to deal w/ bc spreading ace awareness is ‘bad’,  while at the same time spreading my words completely twisted out of context right next to your claims that kids shouldnt be learning about sex ed and they wouldn’t get periods before teen years unless they’ve been abused

I feel ashamed about when asked what being asexual mean I said “not wanting to have sex with other people” but I’m working no time to explain. Come to think of it I should just told them go google it, internet is free. Or just told them shut the fuck up. At least they stop asking when I’m gonna get a bf after I accidentally came out as ace aro. Just being mocked for multiple times by that one person to the point I almost want to kill myself, again. So yeah, lying is bad you should out yourself!

I always see “sex education” as a subject that should be taught like other subjects. How human body works why we change and then change some more and why this and that happened. Back then (I’m not from USA) the sex Ed was just a two hours long or shorter lessons “talking about, you know, tHaT”. It happened twice: once in primary school and then secondary school, so like when we were 11 and 12. We also have the lessons separately, as in boys and girls will be in the different classroom. (1/2)

(2/2) I learn more about how to safely deliver babies from Red Cross First aid manual (in your own house/on the way to the hospital). I want to know what will happen to my body as I grow up. I also want to know that yes some people want to have sex with other people but it’s also totally fine not wanting to. That having sex isn’t the only and the most (important) thing you do with your lovers. And don’t treat periods as something to mock/shame about. It should be about knowing our body.

sex ed should be taught at a young age, my first forray into sex ed was in 4th grade and it was basically a scare about STIs. but us kids were getting embaressed about getting boners and other stuff by then, we needed more answers

also can ppl stop trying to convince me that sex ed is important, that post wasn’t about sex ed as a subject, it was about exclusionists trying to ban asexuality

“Sex Ed” is about knowing how our body works/changes. And by works I mean about periods, how babies are “made”, what sex is and it’s not a (secret) game and you should tell no one. Knowing it’s okay/normal/fine to not wanting to have sex with other people and you shouldn’t force people to—I don’t know. And by change I mean when we become teen and then adults. It’s normal wanting to learn things about us, the human body we are wearing, right?

you dont have to convince me sex ed is important buddy, that post was about aphobes telling young questioning aces that they can’t be ace

I know this is only tangentially related to the monster post, but there’s actually a branch of queer theory that deals with monsters and queerness. (I think it’s called monster theory but I could be wrong about that.) You should look up Susan Stryker’s article My Words to Victor Frankenstein Above the Village of Chamounix: Performing Transgender Rage. It’s more about bodies than sexuality, but every time your monster post comes across my dash I think about it.

yeah its right along the alley, the minorities = monsters discussion is old, only the teratophilia community is new
