Hey could you elaborate a little on why Tarte is bad? Legitimately curious.

just from an uninitiated viewpoint, people would already be suspicious bc tarte’s social media is pretty much all white ppl all the time, their website often doesnt swatch on skin and almost all their promo ads are white ppl. aka not even light-skinned poc

and of course, the beginning of this year, tarte released their shape-tape foundation and there’s only three (3) shades that arent lily white. an established brand like tarte has no excuses for doing this sort of shit;

as many angry beauty gurus of color have pointed out, there’s no way tarte wouldnt have known that people would be upset ab this. and they released an official apology very quickly afterwards, promising more shades in development. shape tape foundation was released january. its now june. no such shades have been released

so of course, its possible that this was some toxic PR stunt, get the tarte name out by making it controversial, and then the dark shades are afterwards released and everyone ‘forgives’ tarte while they’re rewarded with newfound fame

Hello, so I see this post that says it’s wrong to headcannon Asian men as asexual because it’s desexualizing them (by kellymarietran who is surprisingly aphobic) & it hurts me cuz aspec people of color get hate for headcannon characters of color as aspec. I still couldn’t get over this situation & it affects me a lot…

Did you change the design on the Artemis soap? The new one is pretty but I also really liked the old one!

yep!! in fact, all the soaps went through a re-design because the molds were becoming too worn down.

i bought a silicone mold set that has a harder ‘shore’, so it fits the intricate details of my soaps better.

and to accompany the new molds, i also recreated all the soap designs by either starting the new master from scratch, or casting the cameo in plaster and sticking it atop the new master base.

god i hate excls concern trolling over having sex to please your partner. I’m OCD and have intrusive thoughts and that shit absolutely fucks with my head, makes me second-guess myself and puts my head in a false reality. My partner has never been pushy or demanding or manipulative but they’re allo so I still do it sometimes – it doesn’t bother me to do it, even though i’m not super interested. We have a healthy, long-term relationship and i’m not traumatizing myself, christ on a cracker. -c-

fuckyeahasexual gets lots of affirming messages from people in allo/aspec relationships that pretty much derail any bullshit claim that our sexual life is inherently problematique

two years ago i hosted an aspec valentine’s day selfie call, and we got even more stories of ppl talking about how they pursue their relationships with their allo partner

and we get even more stories and asks about how to navigate sex repulsion, i dont even know if anyone in question is actually aspec, sex repulsion is smth we all gotta deal with but ooh it only becomes a problem if the people involved are aspec hmm and hmmmmm

-c- my rule of thumb for ace people navigating that? only do what you’re comfortable with, have healthy communication and boundaries with your partner, and you’ll be fine.
