genji x Mercy Overwatch ship? i don’t dislike it, but i think its pretty utterly boring bc mercy herself is a boring and ugly character, and i am dead honest

mercy’s design is fucking ridiculous, we never get any consistent sense of her professional skill as a doctor, and her story is n/a

every other character is so much more 3D even for the cheesy mortal kombat-esque melodrama that Overwatch runs on. just focusing on the women characters, we get Mei’s angelic altruism parallel to her traumatic climatologist career, Symmetra’s struggle with colonialism, Pharah’s passion for the soldier life through her mother’s affiliation, D.Va in particular is so fascinating being a young decorated soldier with a flamboyant alterego induced through internet phenomenon 

as far as this whole ‘str8′ shit goes, i am 1000% done with lite rad queer culture and its fetishization with destroying anything that isnt cisgay, so thats got nothing to do with my hard mercy critical lmaoo
