Witcher Headcanon: Corvo Bianco 2

  • Ciri always winters in Corvo Bianco. It gets little snow so she is still able to do contracts there.
  • When Ciri stays there, she often will snuggle with Yen instead of sleeping in her own bed. She enjoys feeling like a child again and safe with her mother.
  • Eskel brought Lil’ Bleater down to Corvo Bianco. Geralt now tends to the goat personally. Eskel returns to see the goat anytime he can.
  • Bandits once tried taking over the property. They were told that it was still vacant after the previous owner died. Marlene chased them off with a frying pan.
  • Fringilla Vigo once visited the property to say hello to Geralt. She was not informed that Yen had came to live there. Fringilla decided it best that she stays in Beauclair instead from now on.
  • Each mannequin in the estate has a different set of Witcher school armor. They are Geralt’s favorite. The Manticore armor is his favorite set.
  • Geralt once hid a mannequin in the cellar and stood in its place for hours so he could scare Yen when she came into the dining room.
  • Geralt hung the “exotic” picture of himself that was drawn in the living room. When Lambert visited, he took the picture down and showed it to everyone that worked on the estate.
  • After a fight, Yen hid all of Geralt’s Gwent cards around the estate. A child that lived nearby found his Ciri card. Geralt had to pay 50 crowns to the boy to get it back. Yen was very pleased with herself.
  • Geralt gives sword lessons to anyone that wants them on the estate. His favorite student is a young girl that reminds him of Ciri.
  • Roach often tries to get inside the house to sleep by Geralt. She misses being around him constantly on the path.
  • Geralt still tends to Roach daily and takes her riding every day.

I don’t like some of these as much as I did on my first set. But I made them up on the stop so I did what I could. I have another post started about “Kaer Morhen Headcanons” so I’ll probably finish that one soon. If anyone has any prompts or ideas, just send me an ask! Thanks for reading! 🙂

Unpopular opinion of the day but if it’s ok for dettlaff to unleash an army of vampires on beauclair (leading to hundreds of dead people, including orphans) because syanna betrayed him then it should be ok for syanna to do whatever the fuck for being betrayed by literally everyone she knew as a child

One thing I’d like to add: since dettlaff is regis’ friend and literal saviour rehis’ opinion is obviously completely biased (so it’s no wonder he despises syanna, it’s hard to try and understand the motives of someone who hurt your friend) and that’s why I don’t think his opinion really counts thaaat much on the matter whether syanna deserves redemption or not… I don’t mean to say that either dettlaff and regis or syanna are in the right, just that they all have different stories and viewpoints and they all should be taken into account

One of the things I always found interesting about the Curse of the Black Sun is that it’s a rather obvious metaphor for “problem children” that tend to go overlooked by society, whose parents don’t take the time to really understand them, and who probably have an undiagnosed mental illness or two. There’s a clear double standard in which Anna Henrietta was just as much of a little shit when they were kids (because, you know, they were children), but Syanna faced the brunt of the punishment. Children raised in such an environment tend to grow up to have antisocial tendencies because it turns out that if you treat someone like a monster for long enough, eventually they’ll start acting like one.

Now, in Anna Henrietta’s defense, this was clearly the fault of their parents, who already treated Syanna with disproportionate harshness even before they heard about the curse. That turned out to be the excuse they were waiting for, to be rid of her once and for all. Knowing that, literally everything Syanna did becomes understandable, even justifiable depending on your viewpoint. Morally questionable to be sure, but literally no one around her can claim the moral high ground.

Thank you, this is an excellent addition and I think you’re absolutely right. Sorry if anoyne is already sick of this topic but my heart bleeds for this plagued child that kept having nightmares, was called less gifted and punished more harshly until she was eventually exiled. Her parents let some knights take, beat and leave her in the woods without food and proper clothing while her sister got to take her place on the throne… like how would anyone not be completely fucked up by something like that happening to them?? and in the end she merely tried to take revenge on the people who harmed/abandoned her in her eyes and didn’t kill hundreds of innocent people so I really fail to see how she is the biggest villain here

Regis’s and Dettlaff’s first year together.

Dettlaff sitting by Regis’s bedside, waiting for him to wake up because he doesn’t want Regis to be alone when that happens. He’s part of the pack now, and one does not simply leave a pack member in distress.

Dettlaff talking to Regis, telling him insignificant details when he’s still unconscious because one can never know when his ears will begin to function again. Regis remembers certain parts of these monologues.

Dettlaff offering to hunt down some humans and bring them to Regis because the blood would strengthen him, and Regis refusing with every ounce of power he has aquired over the last few weeks of regeneration. He then proceeds to tell Dettlaff about everything that has happened since their last meeting when they were both barely more than teenagers. Dettlaff doesn’t let it show, but he is impressed.

Nightly drinking ritual. Dettlaff props Regis up against him like he would a child, and offers him his wrist.

Dettlaff sketching Regis’s face because Regis wants to know what he looks like now. (”You shaved me and left sideburns? Why?” – “Your cheeks seemed so sunken.”)

Curious bruxae stopping by because they want to see what their pack leader is up to. At first, they tease Regis, but they become friends later on.

Dettlaff carrying Regis around, oh my God!

“You, witcher, have had a week, the aid of my most excellent knights; yet you have tracked absolutely nothing down. I’ve begun to suspect my beagles might have done a better job!”

I never realized that was Geralt outing Regis in that dialogue. I thought the crowd was just casting at your back talk. Regis is bad at looking intimidating.

whoaaa wtf geralt thats such a dick move just because u lost ur cool
