back in 2012-ish, at the peak of truscum discourse, they literally used mogai, tucute and transtrender synonymously to mock people, and it was always about having too many labels, or thinking it’s some fun club to be trans.. so, just reflect on what kind of thinking you’re promoting when you’re saying “mogais are just straights that wanna be special by having lots of labels for their orientation”..
Honestly, I see tons of very justified commentary about how closely ace discourse resembles “bihet” rhetoric, and I think that its eerie similarity to truscum rhetoric is also deserving of more exposure.
Truscum were anti-nonbinary because they believed: – we were really just cis peope infiltrating the community by claiming to be trans – we would steal resources – our words were made up – we had too many of them – they were overly specific – we were diluting the meaning of transness – we weren’t really oppressed
This is why I get pissed as shit when people mock “MOGAI Tumblr”
Don’t forget “they’ll make young gay people unnecessarily question their identities because of internalized homophobia!”
I’m gonna say it real straight and clear: anti mogai sentiment and rhetoric is literally left over anti nonbinary sentiment and rhetoric.
You jumped on the “mogai was a mistake/is embarrassing” or “fucking mogai identities!” bandwagon? Great! You just repeated anti nonbinary bullshit started by truscum to undermine a community that was created most primarily bc NB PEOPLE WERE CHASED FROM THE LGBT AND NEEDED AN ALTERNATIVE.
Every single one of your Edgy™ mogai mockeries that you picked up from one of the other discoursers you follow was created originally by a truscum to hurt nonbinary people.
I’ve even seen the “mogai hair” and “looks/sounds like a mogai” used to try to mean aces, completely ignorant of the fact that those phrases literally mean “nonbinary people.”
leave it to cis people to be told they’re being transphobic and reply by plugging their ears and yelling about how we’re Wrong, and they’re Protectors Of The Trans.
ok i’ve had my fun, im sorry for those who are confused as fuck lmao
It started with this post. I received an ask asking me if the term ‘allosexual’ is a (homophobic) slur. It’s not, but rather than re-write rhetoric I’ve been spouting over and over, multiple times previous, I answered with really round-about sarcasm.
Basically, words like ‘allosexual’ fall under similar philosophy with other terms that describe who someone isn’t, rather than who someone is. If you’re not ace, you’re allo. If you’re not jewish, you’re gentile/goyim. If you’re not autistic, you’re allistic. If you’re not romani, you’re a gadjo.
‘Gold star’ is a reference to the sarcastic idea of there being ‘gold star’ gay people, AKA gay people who are biphobic, transphobic, and etc under guise that everything relates to overarching hatred against specifically men exclusively attracted to men, and women exclusively attracted to women. You get a ‘gold star’ for being such an impressive and dedicated gay.
To ace discourses and REGs, the term ‘allosexual’ is a homophobic slur because of three main reasons; it refers to both queer and straight people in one collective and therefore might imply that we’re equal in power, and it refers specifically to sexual orientation and therefore might imply its a word used to sexualize and objectify. There’s other reasons, but those are the big ones.
Thing is, it’s simple enough to switch any of these reasons around, and have them refer to ‘allistic’ and so on. Doing so causes REG rhetoric to fall flat. So that’s essentially what I did, except with no obvious clarification that that’s what I was doing.
So what resulted was … well, people not realizing the irony. Of course they wouldn’t, why would I expect any better.
I mean I guess I could have kept it going because it was Too Real like
But of course I didn’t want people to think I wasn’t be sarcastic. So I’ll stop, don’t worry.
So for clarification – I don’t think ‘goy/goyim’ is a slur anymore than I do ‘allo/allosexual’.
why is mogai hellblr like this
this is a lot… to unpack.. but OP you didn’t even explain gadjo properly, ethnic romani people who don’t have romanipen can be considered a gadjo or gadji too. Stop acting like you know what you are talking about
so you made a shitty, incomprehensible and inaccurate comparison that reflects little understanding of the many problems people have with the term “allosexual,” and in doing so, invoked things people actually say to marginalized ethnic groups that you don’t belong to
nice
They’re trying to make the claim that allosexual is a slur seem ridiculous by comparing it to goy being a slur bc that’s ~so clearly ridiculous who could possibly think that so imagine if you replaced allosexual with goy !!~ except it’s not this wild concept that they think it is bc guess what ppl literally already think goy is a slur !!!!
No one’s even claiming allosexual is a slur we’re literally just saying it’s a nasty word but what more can we expect from people who a) fundamentally have no idea what slurs are or how they work lol and b) love to exaggerate & misrepresent our arguments to the point of ridiculousness so they become easier to take down if others don’t know the truth of the actual argument

*implies a brown trans person doesnt know how slurs work* +10
*claims that people have never said allo is a slur* +10
*honestly believes an ace person doesnt understand acephobic rhetoric* +10
*misgendering offscreen* +100
im running out of stickers, youll have to deal with smily faces
I want people to stop attacking nonbinary people who describe their genders in abstract, flowery terms. And I want them to stop dismissing them as “just teenagers who don’t know any better”, too.
You know why? Because cis people do the same thing all the time and nobody bats an eye about it.
Manhood and womanhood are associated with symbols, colors, animals, astronomical objects, mythological figures, a whole list of things that have no inherent gendered properties, and that’s fine. (A lot of those symbols are stereotypical, but some binary people still embrace them, while others have come up with alternate symbols that better reflect what being a man or woman means to them.)
If men and women can describe their genders in abstract, symbolic, poetic terms, so can nonbinary people.
There are so many ace exclusionists who are truscum. So many. Even if they don’t self-proclaim as truscum, eventually they say something extremely hostile about nb genders that shows their true colors.
So fucking forgive me if I get severely creeped out by the attempt at equating “exclusionist” to “pro-LGBT” implying that anyone who doesn’t buy into your bullshit isn’t a “real” LGBT. Because I know how many of you think I’m a cis faker anyway.
