Starting this fall, my college-provided insurance doesn’t apply to me anymore, because I am a part-time senior finishing up my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree instead of the usual full-time.

Thanks to that, I found myself with two ill-timed bills of $1,309.14 total from a single early September visit to the doctor – it includes the required blood tests and hormone replacement therapy medication.

There’s no chance of me applying for school insurance at this point, and I’m not eligible for list insurances that I can front the expenses now. My family and I have very little funds of our own. This sudden bill can put a serious dent in our near futures, especially in my chances of finishing my last year of education. I certainly don’t have the money to pay for it now, and I won’t by the time it’s due.

I ask for your help in clearing this bill. If I pay it off, I wouldn’t have to worry about my next hormone replacement therapy prescription for many months, which will give me time to find an insurance policy and secure a better future for me.

I really loved the way you described your soaps as being a quieter and more personal expression of pride, it really resonated with me. I was also really shocked at how cheap you’re pricing them for a luxury item, I can’t afford the shipping right now since international shipping is always a lil ridiculous but I expected them to cost a lot more considering all the work you put into them

its most important that the soaps be a managable price for any and all interested!! i do want to make a profit and have some pocket money, and so far thats been going ok, but the soaps are priced based on accessibility for both my clients and me!

the $5 domestic USA shipping is enough to cover a firstclass package for almost all USA domains (not including the packaging), but yeah international prices are ridic and i wish i knew of a way to lower it…

do you do all the soap work yourself? Like the designing and the moulding? and are you planning on expanding the lineup? they are all so beautiful!

yes i did!! the soap molds were first crafted using polymer clay, and then cast in liquid silicone. the scent mixes had their recipes first drafted on paper and then evolved as my materials arrived and my scent choices expanded.

(the sappho soap is based off of multiple artistic renderings of her, only some from life. but there’s only so much detail i could provide in a 3-inch relief of her, so i figured so long as i got her basic features it was ok lmao)

(the red dots you see are nail jewels, because it takes a hella effort to uniform anything with tiny amounts of polymer clay. so i bust into my nail art drawer and whipped out a quick shortcut. once its cast, nobody will know the damn difference)

making the soaps is done by using bulk vegetable oils and foodgrade lye, and a specific soap coloring kit. it took me perhaps three weeks to finish all the master mold sculptures and casting them, two months to finally get all my materials together, perhaps another week to paint the ‘poster’ advertisements and calculate all the costs and such

(the features you see are exaggerated on purpose. i knew that casting would take some of the dimensions off, but i wasnt sure by exactly how much. turns out, not a whole lot! and much of the intricate detail remains. however, repeated use of the soft silicone has worn down each mold bit by bit, so i will have to make new molds eventually)

but ive made a reputable history of sales in such a short amount of time!! i love getting reviews especially, they always tell me a quick story about that customer’s experience with pride regalia and how they feel about having a luxury soap dedicated to them

because here’s the thing; i made these soaps because pride regalia tends to be these like, warzone-esque metals and decals and such, because the implication is that you’re showcasing your pride as a radical move that could lead to a violent and hateful response. so there’s a real sense of anxiety and rage and justice associated with them

but a casted bar of soap is a luxury expense you’d buy for yourself and only yourself, to be used in a private self-care in an effort to pamper and groom yourself. its a safe and undisclosed event. and pride deserves to shine here, too, because you’re gonna be queer no matter if you’re siting alone in a bubble bath or rallying on the street and your pride is important and needs to be celebrated!!

and i do plan on expanding this soap project, im thinking about making a neurodivergent line;

Saturn (Mood Disorders – depression, BPD) “Saturn of the Roman pantheon is one of the most complex mythological figures in history. He’s attributed to the concept of *time* and periodic renewal, and oversees the height of the zodiac when the days are darkest and coldest. He exists as a consciousness that embodies the ‘end’, the ‘upheaval’, and the ‘repeat’. Despite Saturn’s troubled reign, he remains one of the most powerful Titans in his wisdom and leadership. Saturn embodies both the depletion and renewal of energy.

but thats on hold for a while!
