NASA’s Most Shocking Image

This image is a 1.5… *BILLION* pixel photograph of the Andromeda Galaxy.

To view the image in all its glory go here.

NASA is the coolest thing that’s ever happened.

alltogetherterrible oh gosh

I zoomed in and I was like “yeah right” while it loaded and then my jaw actually dropped

holy shit

i mean i knew theoretically what this was supposed to look like, but i didn’t actually expect to see it

but then when i zoomed in, all the noise turned into ACTUAL STARS, that you can see individually

good job, NASA

I often think about legion’s head light and people on the sr2 getting blinded by it and holding up their hands in front of their face and legion is SO CONFUSED because after being around only geth for so long they don’t quite understand that they should probably turn the lamp down a little bit??? and instead of realising it’s the light legion thinks the crew members are scared of THEM and calmly reassure the crew that there’s nothing to be frightened of. it’s shepard who finally yells IT’S THE DAMN LIGHT, LEGION!!

#oh gosh#crew members slyly asking legion to investigate anything and everything because he makes such a great torch~

everything about this post is amazing

Speaking of the asari and Greeks

johnnysilence:

Consider this;

What if the asari visited earth and for some reason that’s how the Greeks got the letter Omega?

But let’s take it a bit further,

Asari have tentacles for heads, and that’s freaky. I mean Shepard wants to bone a tentacle-headed nerd and that’s great, but to some Greek from centuries ago, pretty freaky.

They’d be scared, and semi-rigid cartilage tentacles being what they are, they’d look much more sinister.

Like snakes or something.

Greeks get scared, they get threatened, maybe they get violent.

Asari get threatened, maybe they use stasis. Greeks freeze in place, like a statue.

And so on and so forth.

We should talk more about Legion friendships! Like Legion & Jack, Legion & Miranda, Legion & Tali, Legion & Thane, Legion & Kasumi, etc. Does anyone have headcanons to share?

I kinda picture Jack finding Legion “okay” because he doesn’t ask her questions and treats her like everyone else. He also values her fighting abilities (maybe he told her he calculated when she’s going to be successful? which is often enough). So they are often paired and do really well together.

Miranda doesn’t trust Legion but is warming up to him after he saved her life in a fight. She sometimes goes to talk to him and ask him questions. She enjoys how he can keep up with her.

Kasumi was watching him from afar once, not daring to get closer. At some point he told her “I know you’re here”, so she sat down in front of him and they talked. One hour later they were basically bffs.

What else?

Jack enjoys insulting/otherwise screwing with Legion, because she finds that fun in general, and Legion doesn’t mind because he doesn’t have feelings to hurt. He enjoys (?) spending time with her because she’s unusual and is therefore full of interesting data about humans that he can’t get anywhere else. (Really, I think Legion is “happy” to get along with anyone willing to socialize with him, because personal interaction teaches him things he can’t learn just through an extranet search.)

Garrus and Legion have fierce competition over technical skills (canon) and sniper skills too. They develop a rapport and Garrus tries to teach him how to snark/brag during battle. Legion hasn’t quite figured out how to deliver them in a snappy way, but Garrus keeps trying.

Tali introduces Legion to otome dating sims, possibly even the Fleet and Flotilla licensed one. He gets the harem ending on the first try. They spend a week discussing it at lunch. Then they move onto the next one. Nobody else knows what they’re talking about.

Grunt bounces ideas off Legion as to the best way to kill/maim various species in various situations with various weapons. Legion critiques objectively and provides statistics on how effective they’d be. He also downloads a few gigs of data about dinosaurs and sharks so he can hold up his end of the conversation.

EDI & Legion understand each other really well but the rest of the crew doesn’t really understand how, since they’re rarely in the same room.

Dr Chakwas enlists Legion sometimes for critical surgeries, since he has very steady hands.  She would offer him a drink afterwards, when off-duty, if she thought he could use it. Instead she just tells him war stories, which he enjoys.
